RR-3 (6”–10”) IDOT

Common Names: Rip Rap, RR3, Quarry Stone
Size:6″–10″
Uses: Used primarily for erosion control, shoreline reinforcement, creek banks, and retention pond edges. It prevents soil loss and absorbs water energy during high-flow conditions. IDOT Certified Material.

RR-4 (10”–16”) IDOT

Common Names: Rip Rap, RR4, Quarry Stone
Size:10″–16″
Uses: Designed for medium-duty erosion control, RR-4 is used along streambanks, drainage channels, culvert outlets, and shorelines. Its larger stone size provides excellent resistance to displacement and helps stabilize slopes and embankments. IDOT Certified Material.

RR-5 (16”–24”) IDOT

Common Names: Rip Rap, RR5, Quarry Stone
Size:6″–10″
Uses: RR-5 is used for heavy-duty erosion control and shoreline stabilization projects. Perfect for protecting bridge abutments, high-energy water flows, and large retention ponds. Its large stone mass ensures maximum durability against strong currents and wave action. IDOT Certified Material.
